Surjeet Singh Deol S/o Kirpal Singh Deol (who moved to Kenya) of
village Boparai
kalan was a member of Kenya Hockey team and was a captian of
the
Olympics team that participated in 1956 Melbourne Olympics.
Their
family was known as Baru-ka in the village and their house was near
Tarsem Singh's house and Atta-Chake of Jeet Singh. Surjeet Singh Deol
occupied an important role in Kenya's hockey team for almost 18 years.
Surjeet Singh Deol's son Ranjeev Singh Deol is now a member of Canadian
Olympics hockey team. |
